My first 15k

After a trip to the Dr.'s office on Friday at 10:30 and after a quick ultra sound to make sure baby # 2 was developing fine I was cleared to run in my first 15K.

I registered for the Sugarloaf 15k back in January or February and was really excited to make this adventure and finish a 15k.

To my dismay I found out April 1st that our family would be growing and we were expecting (un expectedly) baby #2.

I was determined to run anyway and after getting the approval on Friday I knew I could do it!  Saturday afternoon I went down to the mountain and got my race shirt, my bib and all my race goodies.

I was super excited and nervous at the same time.

I can't wait to wear this shirt and be proud.

As I ran the race I had said get the first 6 miles run and I can walk/ run the last 3.  Little to say I ran all 9.3 without walking and felt really good.

I finished in a time on 1 hours, 50 minutes and 26 sec.  I am super proud of that time being I completed this race 10 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

Disappointment with my race:  was hoping to see my little man and family at the finish line but they didn't realize how long it would take them to get through all the marathon traffic and they didn't make it.  More hopes for next time that my little family can watch me finish my next race.

Yesterday!

I got a nice 4 mile run in yesterday with the nice weather.  I left J with his dad to go do some work at my grandparents and I headed out from home to my grandparents.

It was about 58 degrees out and the sun was shining bright.

The only bummer was only one ear piece was working so my music wasn't the greatest.

I am on the count down 10 days till my first 15k.  As long as all goes well between now and then.
